What currencies can be loaded on the Travel Card?
Travel Cards can be purchased or reloaded online at travelcard.bestwestern.com in USD, CAD, EUR or GBP currencies, or purchased or reloaded at participating Best Western branded hotels worldwide in the local currency of the region.
Can I redeem the Travel Card loaded with a currency other than the local currency?
Yes. You can redeem the Travel Card worldwide at all Best Western branded hotels. It does not matter which currency is loaded on the card. The redeemed amount is converted automatically into the local currency.
Who can use the Travel Card?
Anyone. The Travel Card can be purchased for personal use, company travel, or employee incentives. It is ideal gift for family or friends for special occasions. The Travel Card is not personalized.
Are Travel Cards transferable?
Yes. Once purchased, Travel Cards can be given to and used by anyone, subject to the prevailing laws and each hotel’s policies (e.g., age limits)
Do Travel Cards Expire?
Travel Cards issued for payment of the face value of the Travel Card do not expire. Travel Cards as promotional or loyalty awards or for other promotional purposes may contain an expiration date.
Where can the Travel Card be used?
The Travel Card can be used at any Best Western branded hotel worldwide toward hotel lodging charges (i.e., room night charges and applicable taxes). Acceptance of the Travel Card for services other than lodging charges is at the discretion of the hotel.
How does someone use the Travel Card?
At check-in, a guest simply presents the Travel Card, personal credit card or other form of payment guarantee, and a valid form of identification. Total charges are reduced from the amount available on the Travel Card.
Can Best Western Rewards® points or airline rewards be earned for stays purchased with Travel Cards?
Yes, points or airline rewards can be earned by Best Western Rewards members on qualified stays using the Travel Card.
Can the Travel Card be used as a form of reservation guarantee?
No. The Travel Card may not be used as a form of reservation guarantee. A credit card is needed to guarantee a room, and the hotel’s cancellation and no-show policy apply.
Are advanced reservations required?
Advance reservations are not required.

Can a guest pay the difference if he or she does not have enough value left on the Travel Card?
Yes. If the total purchase cost exceeds the amount of the Travel Card, the difference can be paid using other forms of payment, such as a credit card.
What if a Travel Card is lost, stolen or destroyed?
Travel Cards carry no value until activated. Travel Cards are not returnable, refundable or redeemable for cash, and may not be resold or transferred for value, except to the extent required by law. Lost, stolen or damaged Travel Cards will not be canceled or replaced without card number and proof of purchase. Unlawful resale or attempted resale is grounds for seizure and cancellation without compensation.
